Filip ON7FD
I’ve been licensed since 1995 when I started as ON2BBX (CEPT Novice licence). Nine months later I obtained my CEPT-HAREC license and became ON1DDE. In october 1998 I upgraded my license after passing the CW (Morse Code) test and got the callsign ON4CIP, eventually I applied in november 2008 for my definitive callsign ON7FD (“FD” stands for my personal name).
Between 2004 and 2018 I was almost completely inactive as a ham radio amateur due to professional reasons. Since 2018 I have slowly started rebuilding my home station.
Prefer operating on shortwave (HF) in SSB and experiments now and then with FT8 and other digital modes. Main interests are DX hunting and antenna/propagation studies.
I am also a member of B-EARS (Belgian Emergency Amateur Radio Service)
I do also still love receiving paper QSL-cards via BUREAU or DIRECT and are greatly appreciated. QSL info can be found here.
